Meta, Muse, Misanthropic

I don’t understand what Meta is trying to do and what Muse is or why we should all have to deal with it… But I do believe there should be options to opt-out of all features. Like, I say I opt out, and suddenly anybody using the devices that take pictures or video of me, I’m just a blur that they cannot manually deblur.

"But that’s not possible. We don’t have that technology!"–My dudes, the CEO of Flock has turned his house, his car, and images of himself and his family into blurs on Flock cameras. Why is that a feature only available to the few?

Give it to the many.

I choose not to have my image used and monetized by randos on the Internet.

I hate the idea that people are like "You’re in public. People are allowed to take pictures and video of you." Fine, I can understand showing up in the background of a picture someone took. But they should be REQUIRED to blur me out before they post the pictures and videos on social media.

It’s gross enough that people are monetizing their own children. I guess, in the eyes of the law, and those weirdos, those children are their property. Whatever. I am a free person and I don’t choose to be part of your "content," whatever it may be.

My favorite YouTubers blur out the faces of strangers in their videos. When one of them went on vacation, she was able to show off the surrounding beauty of Greece WITHOUT forcing non-involved people to be a part of her content. And I really appreciate that. That earns a Good Person card.

With the Meta Glasses, the worst thing is that they get to record people AGAINST THEIR WILL while at the same time maintaining their own anonymity. No man. If you’re going to force people to be part of your content, show yourself. Let’s see your face. Your hair. Your body. Let’s hear your undistorted voice. Let’s see your expression and what you’re doing that receives the response the people you’re recording are giving you.

It’s like that lady whose whole content was "People staring at my ass!" when she actually had the flashlight on on her phone in her back pocket, which made people look toward the light to see what was happening. And then she would slow things down so it would seem like people were being creepy toward her. And no, they weren’t. SHE was and still is The Creep.

So now Meta is doing some real creep shit. Like, I don’t completely understand what it’s all about, but they’re the guys that illegally pirated a whole bunch of ebooks they used to train their AI. And now they’re putting out that if you have an account with them, you give them permission to go through ALL your content–including on your private, non-Meta related website–and they’re allowed to scrape it all and feed it into their AI. All as part of the wonders of their Muse thing.

I don’t even know what Muse is. I just want nothing to do with it.

I do not give my permissions for my content to be scraped for the use of AI training. I can’t really stop it from happening, but if any proof ever comes up, be aware that I expect to receive $$$$$$$ (MONEY). By scraping my content, you agree that you will pay me a lot of money. And you won’t bitch and moan about it. You won’t complain about me. You will give me whatever amount of money I request without fighting it in any way. ANY amount of money I request, even if it’s a percentage of your total worth or stock in your company.

And people are going to be like "Saying that does nothing. If they’re going to scrape your site for AI training, you can’t control or stop it." I know. But when everything goes to shit and orders of discovery are trawling through all of the databases… Here is my statement. And this post and any other post on my website being part of your training data is you agreeing to pay me massive amounts of money. And if you are Meta or Facebook or Muse or any subsidiary of a Mark Zuckerberg company, you agree to pay me a minimum of $25,000,000 for scraping my content.

I don’t know if that’s going to work. I am not a lawyer. But if it does…

I’ll feel like that guy that received a credit card offer, and he went through it with a pen and maybe some whiteout and rewrote a large segment of the agreement and sent the paperwork back, and he basically ended up with free money. And they couldn’t argue with him, because by giving him a card after accepting that agreement, they agreed to give him millions of dollars.

He was a consumer hero.
