Holy shit. I just scared the crap out of myself.
I had my text editor open (TEXT! editor) and went to open a file, only to find my folders were empty. ALL of my folders were empty.
"All my apes are gone!" levels of freakout happened.
Then I realized I was using a text editor, which meant it was looking for text files. And adoy doy, most of my folders are full of files that are not .txt files. So of course they weren’t going to show.
So yeah. My stuff is still there. I’m just really stupid.
But, you know, it’s a reminder to keep backups. And to take a deep breath and THINK before having a complete meltdown.
