Hey, FYI: Just because you’re on social media, you can still get in trouble with the FTC for undisclosed ads.
Yeah, I was watching commentary videos where they share parts of other peoples’ videos to talk about, and the first video shared was totally an undisclosed ad for some kind of app. And it’s so tiresome. Wannabe influencers monetizing their videos and those videos are actually undisclosed ads… It’s like someone changing the TV to the QVC channel then turning to you and saying, "And that will be $1. You’re welcome."
Get the fuck outta here.
I hate that people go online to share made up stories like they’re real, never mention that they’re fiction, then other people come along and interact with that content under the belief that it was real. And it was all just fake shit someone pooped out for clout.
The dislike button needs to be brought back and/or added to ALL platforms.
If you’re going to use an algorithm to decide what content to force feed to people? Then people need to have the ability to sort through the nonsense and to warn other people. ESPECIALLY if the creator can just turn around and delete all comments that mention their fake assery.
