Because I’m a realist. There’s no way I’m ever going to see Mars.<\/p>\n
And sure, I figure I’m going to be long dead by the time they get around to colonizing the red planet, but that’s not why I discount my nephew’s<\/em> chances of living on Mars. Because it’s not going to be about how long it takes humanity to reach another planet.<\/p>\n It’s going to be about all the rich assholes that see Mars as their next great chance.<\/p>\n They’re either going to cause (more) irrevocable damage to the planet as they push space technology, or they’re just going to pay their way on board the ships.<\/p>\n So yeah.
