I must have been tired out from all the cat food sushi.<\/p>\n<p>Why do I call it that? Because it&#8217;s made using cans of tuna fish and kind of looks like cat food. Though it tastes pretty all right.<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-3696\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.harperkingsley.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/catfood_sushi1-285x300.jpg?resize=285%2C300\" alt=\"catfood_sushi1\" width=\"285\" height=\"300\" \/><br \/>\n1. Spread some rice over half of a sheet of seaweed (nori). I flavored the rice with salt, sugar, and vinegar to taste.<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-3697\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.harperkingsley.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/catfood_sushi2-300x300.jpg?resize=300%2C300\" alt=\"catfood_sushi2\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" \/><br \/>\n2. Add a layer of tuna fish on the rice. I flavored the tuna with sesame oil, garlic powder, and sriracha. This would be a good time to add other toppings if you&#8217;ve got them: green onion, egg, yellow kimchi, spinach, avocado, gochujang sauce.<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-3698\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.harperkingsley.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/catfood_sushi3-300x208.jpg?resize=300%2C208\" alt=\"catfood_sushi3\" width=\"300\" height=\"208\" \/>3. Use the plastic wrap to shape and roll the sushi.<br \/>\n<img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-3699\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.harperkingsley.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/catfood_sushi4-300x146.jpg?resize=300%2C146\" alt=\"catfood_sushi4\" width=\"300\" height=\"146\" \/>The plastic wrap makes it a lot easier to control your roll \ud83d\ude1b You can poke back in anything that comes out the ends and squeeze the roll into a tighter shape.<br \/>\n<img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-3695\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.harperkingsley.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/catfood_sushi5-300x141.jpg?resize=300%2C141\" alt=\"catfood_sushi5\" width=\"300\" height=\"141\" \/>4. Wet a sharp knife and slice the roll through the plastic wrap.<br \/>\n<img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-3700\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.harperkingsley.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/catfood_sushi6-300x206.jpg?resize=300%2C206\" alt=\"catfood_sushi6\" width=\"300\" height=\"206\" \/>The pieces maintain their shape and you can pull the plastic wrap off when you&#8217;re done.<br \/>\n<img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-3701\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.harperkingsley.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/catfood_sushi7-300x296.jpg?resize=300%2C296\" alt=\"catfood_sushi7\" width=\"300\" height=\"296\" \/><\/p>\n<p>At this point, you can eat them as is, or enjoy them with a dipping sauce of soy sauce, sesame oil, crushed red pepper, garlic powder, and chopped green onion.<\/p>\n<p>Even if your pantry is a bit bare, you can find tasty food to make and enjoy.<\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;ve got rice, seaweed, and a couple cans of tuna fish, you&#8217;re not going to go hungry today.
