Witch King at Amazon

I think part of my recent downness is because I haven’t been listening to enough music. Life needs a soundtrack and a beat to follow.

“Mad World” performed by Gary Jules. “When people run in circles it’s a very very mad world. Children waiting for the day they feel good. Happy birthday. Happy birthday.”

“It’s the End of the World” performed by R.E.M. “It’s the end of the world as we know it, and I feel fine.” (Though, honestly, I prefer to imagine this song playing on a backdrop of scenes from Independence Day. That movie has become a classic.)

“Same Love” performed by Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, featuring Mary Lambert — Sometimes life needs a reminder that no matter how dark and grim the news tries to make things seem, everything is gonna be all right.

“Everything’s Gonna Be Alright” performed by Bob Marley. This one goes out to you. Sorry I’m so weird all the time. I’mma try not to let my anxieties get so much the best of me. It’s just hard sometimes.

“Put Your Records On” performed by Corrine Bailey Rae. “You’re gonna find yourself somewhere, somehow.”

Here, because I love you, have the whole R.E.M. list.

You’re lucky I don’t hit you with some Smashing Pumpkins 😛

Talking Heads – “Psycho Killer” — The new episode of It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia made me go searching up this song. For sure, I’ve never listened to the Talking Heads — they were a bit before my time — but I am definitely looking at them now.

“I can’t sleep cos my bed is on fire. Don’t touch me, I’m a real live wire.”

Honestly, I would love to hear Charlie Day cover this song. Does he do requests?

Here we are again, bringing the music videos you didn’t know you wanted to see.

“The Hillywood Show: Pirates of the Caribbean Parody” – Very upbeat and fun. “If I had you…”

“The Hillywood Show: The Walking Dead Parody” – It’s new and wonderful and you’re missing out if you don’t watch it. “Another one bites the dust.”

“Melissa Ethridge: Come to My Window” – ‘Come to my window. Crawl inside, wait by the light of the moon. Come to my window. I’ll be home soon.’ Featuring the ever charming Juliette Lewis. Why? Because suck it, this is still a good video.

“Alannah Myles: Black Velvet” – Look at those eyebrows. What?

“Frozen: Let It Go Sing-along” – ‘The snow glows white on the mountain tonight, not a footprint to be seen. A kingdom of isolation, and it looks like I’m the queen. The wind is howling like this swirling storm inside. Couldn’t keep it in, heaven knows I tried. Don’t let them in. Don’t let them see. Be the good girl you always have to be. Conceal, don’t feel, don’t let them know. Well, now they know. Let it go! Let it go! Can’t hold me back anymore. Let it go! Let it go! Turn away and slam the door. I don’t care what they’re going to say. Let the storm rage on. The cold never bothered me anyway.’

“Paint: Boy Brand” – ‘You’re insecure. Feel like a bore. I’ve got a hunch we know what you’ll adore.’ ‘Your mom. Your mom. Your mom. Your mom.’ Lol.

I love the “After Ever After” videos to ridiculous degrees. Seriously, they make me super happy.

“Paint: After Ever After” – Disney parody. “Thank you BP.” Ariel, Jasmine, Belle, and Pocahontas.

“Paint: After Ever After 2” – Disney parody. Mulan, Cinderella, Tiana, and Elsa.

“Anastasia: Once Upon a December” – This movie was (and is) beautiful.

“Fievel: Somewhere Out There” – ‘Somewhere out there beneath the pale moonlight. Someone’s thinking of me and loving me tonight.’

“The Hillywood Show: LoTR Let It Go Parody” – Lord of the Rings and Frozen’s “Let It Go” in one video? What’s not to love? ‘What are you waiting for? Just let it go!’

Hope you enjoyed.

See you next Monday! (Maybe.)
