Got in a verbal spat over the word “gross”. I use it as “disgusting, vomit-inducing” while he kept insisting that it meant the same thing but differently.
I don’t know.
It was just a bit frustrating having to deal with his “Nuh uh!” attitude.
Its like our differing views on video games and the comment abuse system. He’s seeing it as his friends being persecuted by unfair people. I see it as “What were they saying that got them flagged?”
So I wanted to clarify that when I use the word “Gross” to describe something, I mean that it is not appealing to me and in point of fact actually makes me feel sick in my stomach.
“That’s gross” – Whatever action being committed is disgusting, reprehensible, and/or deplorable.
