I sometimes feel as though I write two or three different versions of the same story before I’m done.

Not exactly the best decision from a business perspective, I know. And I totally scoffed at the "Copyright shouldn’t exist. People should just share money naturally with those that create their content"-guy, but I guess on some deep psychological level I’m kind of the same as him?
