Reading this novel. Most of the troubles in this one lady’s life are caused by her just not leaving her stepson alone.
Anything to do with the stepson and his life. All she had to do was stay out of it.
But she’s so terrified he’s going to come and take away her children’s inheritance.
Her fear and guilt and viciousness to live are her driving forces throughout the story.
She raised those children badly.
She was a bad mom.
It probably would have been better if there were a professional nanny to care for the children.
It’s not “natural selection” to have a massive clan family structure loaded with backstabbing assholes.
If you are making enough money on dividends to lay back and live a luxuriously free life… Why are you out causing havoc? Why are you being a demon for no reason?
She should have focused on raising her children to know how to make money. Instead of having them wait to receive everything from their notably quirky dad.
As though the board would sit back while the decision of one man could destroy their entire brand and crash the local economy.
